As part of the non-cooperation movement, announced by the Telangana Joint Action Committee, on the demand for a separate Telangana statehood, the committee announced a series of agitation programmes begining from 13th of February.

Telangana JAC Chairman Prof Kodanda Ram told reporters, on Friday, that rallies would be held in all the Assembly constituencies in the Telangana region while Jail Bharo program would be taken up the next day and dharnas would be held in front of Congress & TDP legislators residences, on 16 th. And, on 17 th of February, the Telagana JAC has called upon the commuters not to purchase tickets while travelling in APSRTC buses.

On 18 th, the JAC would seige all Central Government offices and Rasta Rokos would be organised in the region, on 19 th. Seiging of National Highway-9 would be on 20th , burning of effigies would be on 21st & General Strike would be on 22nd.
