It was an undeclared holiday for officers and staff at the headquarters of GHMC near Tank Bund in the city on Monday as a huge crowd of road sweepers squatted in the premises for the meeting in support of separate Telangana. The chambers of officers and work stations of employees wore a deserted look in all the six floors of the building on account of the meeting outside.

On the other hand the HMWSSB Employees' JAC held a lunch hour demonstration at the Board office in Khairatabad demanding tabling of a Bill in Parliament for separate Telangana state. About 300 employees from different cadres participated in the demonstration.
