Krishna award: Kiran discusses strategy at all-party meeting

The government has decided to alter the team of advocates by inducting new members into it or by removing some of the present ones to file the review petition before the Brijesh Kumar Tribunal on Krishna Water to highlight the raw deal meted out to Andhra Pradesh in its award.
This was disclosed to leaders of political parties by Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy at a four-hour long all-party meeting he held at the Secretariat on Tuesday to elicit their views on the strategy to be adopted to ventilate the State's grievance and get justice in allocation of Krishna waters.
The team, which argued the State's case before the tribunal, was headed by Dipankar P. Gupta and consisted of 10 other members, including senior advocate D. Sudarshan Reddy. Sources said the government, indeed, contacted K. Parasaran and Harish Kumar Salve at Delhi to utilise their services for the purpose, but they offered to help the State only if the issue was brought before the Supreme Court and expressed inability to appear before the tribunal.
