All-party meet condemns attack on LSP chief

An all-party meeting in the city on Friday condemned the attack on Lok Satta Party president and Kukatpally legislator Jayaprakash Narayan in the Legislative Assembly premises on Thursday.
The meeting resolved that political struggles in a democracy should be ideology-based and not lead to hatred and personal attacks and called for the cooperation of everyone to establish such a culture. LSP working president D.V.V.S.Varma presided over the meeting, which was attended by representatives of Congress, TDP, PRP, CPI, CPI (M), Forward Block, RSP, and Telangana Democratic Front and many voluntary organisations.
Leaders said it was shameful that at a time when countries like Egypt were fighting against despotism, democratic traditions were being given a go-by in India.
