A meeting called by the new student member group at the Osmania University requested all its fellow students not to commit suicide in the name of a bifurcated state. Along with the eight mla's who won during the recently held by-elections, the JAC convenor Prof. Kodandaram was also available. The students requested their fellow mates to join hands to pledge, 'not to commit suicide'. The student group decided to conduct an pledge taking ceremony stating not to resort to extreme steps like suicides.
