Traffic came to a grinding halt following the series of rasta rokos and road blockades by Telangana protagonists in various parts of Karimnagar town on Saturday. Several RTC bus commuters were forced to walk to their destinations. The other road users expressed their ire against the series of road blockades and causing inconvenience to the general public.

Again at the Gandhi statue also there was another rasta roko programme causing traffic obstructions. Similarly, the road blockades were also held at SRR kalyana mandapam, Mancherial cross roads, at SRR degree college and other places in the town.

Sangareddy Staff Reporter writes: protests touched their peak in Medak district with agitators expressing displeasure over suspension of five legislators from the Assembly. Rasta rokos and gheraos were held at several places demanding Statehood for Telangana.
