Plea to call off non-cooperation stir

Congress leaders from Telangana, including Ministers from the region, have made a fervent appeal to the employees as well as the political JAC to call off the non-cooperation agitation and cooperate with the ruling party to expedite the process of separate Statehood.
At a meeting of Telangana Congress MPs, legislators, senior leaders and Ministers in the residence of Panchayat Raj Minister K. Jana Reddy on Saturday, it was decided that efforts should be made to convince the striking employees to withdraw the stir in order to prevent further erosion of revenues.
Congress Working Committee member K. Keshava Rao warned that any further delay in creating Telangana would cause irreparable damage to the society. He said demand for resignation was a minor issue when they were prepared to sacrifice their lives for the cause of separate Telangana.
