TDP not to raise Telangana Bill issue in Parliament

The Telugu Desam Party members of Parliament will not raise the issue of Bill for Telangana in the budget session of Parliament as the Congress is against its introduction. However, they will highlight the problems of people of the region.
At a press conference on Saturday, TDPP leader Nama Nageswara Rao and Rajya Sabha member M.V. Mysoora Reddy argued that when the ruling party was not prepared to introduce the Telangana Bill, the demand for it would have little impact.
A lot of spadework had to be done prior to a session if any Bill is to be introduced and when there were no such efforts by the Congress, the TDP would not pick up the issue, they stated.
After the TDPP meeting chaired by party president N. Chandrababu Naidu, they parried repeated questions whether the TDP MPs would press for Telangana Bill and said they would raise issues relating to Telangana like Pranahita-Chevella, Babli and others.
