Stepping up pressure on the Centre to take an early decision on statehood, Congress MPs and legislators are gearing up to hold demonstrations in Parliament as well as in the Legislature. With the budget session of Parliament commencing, Congress MPs from the region plan to hold placards and raise slogans demanding introduction of a bill on Telangana.

Similarly, Congress MLAs in the Assembly, attending the session for the first time after the budget session commenced, decided to hold a protest demonstration. The MLAs will first assemble at the Gun Park and march to the Assembly where a meeting was scheduled.
