Hitting out at the Opposition, the Chief Minister condemned their attitude in not uttering a word over the attempt to attack the Governor's institution during the recent address. Urging the opposition not to obstruct welfare programmes, he said, 65 lakh applications were received and about 1.5 crore people participated during Rachabanda.

He said 32 lakh additional applications were received seeking ration cards. Seeking the Opposition's cooperation in solving the people's problems, Mr. Kiran said all the welfare schemes initiated in 2004 would continue to be implemented.
