Jagan ends fast, taken to hospital

Former MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy ended his seven-day hunger strike in the city on Thursday afternoon with a warning to the Congress government in the State that his group would be found at fault if it continued to extend support to the regime.
The government would be swept away shortly by the fury of poor students who got a raw deal in the budget presented to the State Assembly on Wednesday, Mr. Jagan said after breaking his fast demanding release of funds for reimbursement of tuition fee to students of professional colleges.
A large crowd thronged the hunger strike camp of Mr. Jagan at Indira Park on the last day. Several Congress MLAs, who spoke ahead of him, targeted the government for meagre budgetary and expressed support to the fast. Later Jagan was shifted to a hospital.
