Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu has said that the helplessness of Congress as its alliance partners cornered lion's share of railway projects was once again exposed in the Railway Budget on Friday.

In his reaction to the Railway Budget presented by Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee, Mr. Naidu said it had become a habit for the allies of Congress to develop their own areas with Railway projects after assuming reins of the Ministry.

Today, Ms. Banerjee did the same by carrying a large chunk of projects to her native West Bengal. Her predecessor Lalu Prasad also did the same by grounding most of the projects in Bihar, he said. Mr. Naidu regretted that not a single Congress MP protested as all the developmental programmes were diverted to a single State.
