It is pro-poor, says Kiran

Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy on Monday termed the Union Budget pro-poor, pro-farmer and pro-reforms and said Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee had done whatever was possible under the circumstances to all sections of people, from farmers and Anganwadi workers, to taxpayers and senior citizens.
In a press release, he expressed happiness that country was on a high economic growth trajectory and projects for growth at 9 per cent in the fiscal 2011-12. High food prices were the principle concern of the government and there was a need to revitalise the rural economy, he said. He welcomed the focus on agriculture sector.
