Taking a serious exception over the police firing at Kakarapalli in Srikakulam district, Telugu Desam President N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday demanded a judicial probe into the incident. Talking to media persons at TDP Office, Naidu criticized the state government for not responding to the incident even after 24 hours.

Alleging that the government was not bothered about solving the problems of the people, he wondered how the protestors could have died when rubber bullets were fired, as claimed by the police. He also criticized the police for acting irresponsibly instead of trying to hold discussions with agitating villagers.

The former Chief Minister demanded that the government initiate action against the guilty police officials. The TDP chief announced that he would visit Kakarapalli today to gain firsthand information about the incident from the villagers.
