TRS would press for a discussion on the Telangana issue in Lok Sabha today, with the help of NDA and CPI members.

The party leaders said that, Mr. Rao and the other TRS MP Vijayashanti would stall business of Lok Sabha, with the support of opposition, demanding introduction of Bill granting Statehood to Telangana. With TRS members raising the Telangana demand, the ruling Congress MPs from Telangana region and TDP too have raised the pitch on contentious issue.

The party urged the Union Home Minister P Chidambaram to reconsider his decision to convene a meeting of parties from State on the Telangana issue, only when all of them are ready to give their views.
