The TRS and TDP MLAs have decided to boycott the remaining part of the current budget session of the Assembly from today. The TRS said that it had lost the confidence that the State government, while the TDP's decision was aimed at expressing solidarity with the ongoing non - cooperation programme of the Telangana employees.

On behalf of the TDP, MLAs Nagam Janardhan Reddy and M. Narsimhulu announced the decision after a meeting of the legislators. The TRS as well as the TDP took exception to Union Home Minister P.Chidambaram's statement that the Telangana problem could not be solved overnight. Mr. Janardhan Reddy said, Mr. Chidambaram has insulted the people of Telangana by his comment.
