Million march: Tank Bund to be epicentre
The million march to Hyderabad programme of Telangana Joint Action Committee on March 10, demanding a separate State will be focussed on Tank Bund and Necklace Road as they are also key to major festivals of Telangana like Batukamma and Ganesh Utsav.
This was announced to media by JAC chairman M. Kodandaram after a preparatory meeting held by the committee with its activists all over the State capital on Thursday. He said the event will be held on the lines of jataras held in various parts of Telangana with the participation of lakhs of people.
The objective was to involve all members of households just as they took part in jataras. Mr. Kodandaram felt it should be like a jatara and also symbolise the religious fervour of the region found in Bonalu, Batukamma and Ganesh Utsav.
