The Telangana Congress leaders have decided to continue boycotting the Assembly and Legislative Council session till March 12 while the Telangana ministers have decided to go to Delhi before that to meet the Congress president, Mrs Sonia Gandhi, over the statehood issue.

The Congress MLAs, MPs and ministers from Telangana met at the ministers quarters on Friday evening and discussed the latest situation in the wake of MPs meeting with the finance minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee. The meeting outrightly rejected Mr Mukherjees advice to wait till completion of elections to five states in May. T-Ministers have decided to meet Mrs Gandhi before March 12.

They got an invitation from leaders in Delhi. They will go and appraise the need to make an announcement on Telangana statehood, the former CWC member and MP, Mr K. Kesava Rao told newsmen after the meeting.
