Reacting to the home minister's statement on Kakarapalli incident in Srikakulam district, in which 2 persons were killed in police firing, the opposition leaders alleged that the government rendered great injustice to the people, by siding with the private parties & defending their actions against the poor people.

The TDP leader questioned the governments claim on development after letting loose police repression. Later, the entire opposition took the ruling party to task for the incident. The left parties demanded the judicial probe into the occurrence, while MLA Jaya Prakash Narayan suggested the administration to constitute an autonomous body to deal with the process of land compensation. Replying to the members, Sabitha said, there was need to give assurances to the investors for the sake of development of the state.
