Police on Sunday arrested Ch. Ravi Kumar, husband of murdered engineering student Krishnaveni, and six others. The arrested would be produced in court today. Besides Ravi Kumar, his father, mother, two sisters and his friends, were among those produced before the media.

The atmosphere was charged with a large number of people, including Krishnaveni's relatives and students, raising slogans demanding pubic encounter of Ravi Kumar. A posse of policemen struggled hard to control the crowd. Representatives of political parties and people's organisations also reached the police station.
