Police deny permission for Million March'

The city police have denied permission for holding of the Million March' in the city on Thursday by the Telangana Joint Action Committee. The proposed march which includes a demonstration on Tank Bund and rallies from different routes with thousands of participants would throw traffic into disarray and hence permission was not given, Commissioner of Police, A.K. Khan, said at a press conference.
The denial was also conveyed to the applicant in writing. The TJAC maintained that a few thousand people would take part in the rallies, police anticipate the number to be more. Khan advised people to be prepared for traffic jams and diversions on Thursday in view of the unpredictable situation.
