Kidnapping gang busted in the city

* Police identifies 6-member gang & arrested four
* Nine Children rescued
Police on Wednesday busted a 6-member kidnapping gang and arrested four, including a couple who allegedly abducted and sold children in two districts of State. Based on credible information, sleuths of Santoshnagar Police Station, apprehended the gang members and rescued nine children, who were abducted in the past four years.
The City Police Commissioner A. K. Khan told reporters that the arrested were identified as Mahboob Khan, his wife Reshma Sultana, and two elderly persons. The statement of the commissioner said, after kidnapping children the gang members used to take them to Nizamabad and Karimnagar districts keep the victims in their custody and then sold the boys for amounts ranging between Rs 35,000 to Rs 1 lakh.
