* Strongly condemns the incidents of statues destruction & attack on media persons


Home Minister Sabitha Indira Reddy on Friday, assured that strict action would be taken against the miscreants, who ommitted some punishable offences during Million March agitation. The Minister strongly condemned the incident of destructing the statues & also expressed regret at the attack on media persons.

Delivering her speech, during the house proceedings Mrs.Sabitha ensured that, appropriate steps would be enforced, in order to avoid such untoward occurrences. She narrated the sequence of events that unfolded on Tank Bund.

Sabitha explained that 8 police officers were attacked and injured apart from public representatives and media personnel. The Home Minister said that the police exercised maximum restraint and to control the situation, tear gas & lathi charge were resorted.
