Chief Minister N.Kiran Kumar Reddy, said there would be no power cuts between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. in view of the ongoing Intermediate and other examinations. Reviewing the power generation and supply in the State with the officials of Energy Department, AP Transco , AP Genco on Sunday.

Mr. Reddy directed them to ensure seven hour supply for the farm sector with priority to domestic and drinking water supply schemes besides hospitals. Officials informed the Chief Minister that at present there was a short-fall of 675 MW, due to several technical reasons in the power generating stations of the State.
