79% polling for local MLC election

The elections to 6 segments of AP Legislative Council went off peacefully on Sunday. The poll percentage for three Graduate Constituencies was 46.53 and that of three Teachers Constituencies was 77. The chief electoral officer, Mr Bhanwar Lal, said that there were no complaints of violation of election code.
With regard to reports that the Vizianagaram MP, Ms Botsa Jhansi's vote was missing from the rolls, the CEO clarified that she did not register herself as a voter at all. Nearly 78.88 per cent polling was registered Mahbubnagar, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad Teachers Constituency.
