Telangana Congress MLAs to attend House
The Telangana Congress MLAs have called off their more than 10-day-old boycott of the Legislative Assembly on Monday. They announced their decision to attend the Assembly after a meeting with Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and AP Congress Committee president D. Srinivas.
Chief Minister and the APCC president succeeded in convincing the party legislators to call off their protest as it was leading them nowhere. The calling off of the protest was not unconditional as the MLAs secured an assurance from Mr. Kiran that they would be allowed to air their views on Telangana-related issues in the House. However, They have decided not to do anything that could result in stalling the proceedings of the Assembly.
