As part of its efforts to intensify campaign for separate Telangana, a 'Mock Assembly' was conducted by TRS, Telugu Desam Party and BJP Legislators from Telangana at a private hall in the city on Monday. The Mock Assembly was organised by Telangana Journalists Forum with as many as 30 legislators from TRS, TDP and BJP, who had been boycotting the Budget Session of the Assembly since the last few days, attending and discussing various points relating to the issue.

Mock Assembly Speaker Hareswar Reddy, who was "unanimously elected" by the Telangana Legislators, conducted the proceedings. The legislators demanded a resolution for introduction of Bill in Parliament for carving out separate Telangana. Earlier, the Mock House unanimously passed condolence resolutions in memory of those who sacrified their lives for the cause of Telenanga.
