* MRPS activists try to approach the Assembly from different directions
* Mild force used to prevent the agitators to get closer to the Assembly

Police arrested 570 activists of the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi at several locations around the Legislative Council on Monday, when they tried to take out a Chalo Assembly' in pursuit of their demand for categorisation of Scheduled Castes. They included 6 women who attempted to immolate themselves.

The MRPS activists tried to approach the Assembly from different directions including Lakdikapul, Ravindra Bharathi, Secretariat, Tank Bund and Nampally but failed in their attempt. Police had to use mild force to prevent the agitators to get closer to the Assembly.
