Former MLA Ambati Rambabu on Tuesday lodged a complaint with the Pattabhipuram police that he had received a postal envelope, which had a cyanide' packet and a threat letter. Samples from the packet were sent for testing and the police were investigating the matter.

Inspector of Police K. Vijay Bhaskar said that the envelope had a letter threatening Mr. Rambabu with dire consequences should the newly floated YSR Congress Party pull down the government.
