Protesting over the damage to the one of the shutters of Rajolibanda Diversion scheme (RDS) various political parties including TRS, BJP,CPI and other organisations called for Mahabubnagar district bandh today. Telangana Rashtra Samithi polit bureau member C.Niranjan Reddy demanded the government to book the culprits at earliest and take repair works to the damaged project shutter.

He alleged that it has become habit to the Kurnool leaders to damage RDS project shutters and divert water to their area at the expense of farmers of Mahabubnagar district. RDS project committee chairman G. Seetha Rama Reddy also demanded that criminal cases should be registered against Bala Nagi Reddy, MLA of Mantralayam, and his followers for their alleged involvement in the damage of shutter.
