All necessary arrangements have been made for holding the biennial elections to 10 Local Authorities Constituencies of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council across the State today. The members would of contesting in the LA constituencies in Anantapur, Kadapa, Nellore, West Godavari, East Godavari, Srikakulam, Chittoor, Kurnool and Hyderabad.

The term of some of the above members would expire on March 29 and others on May 1. The Corporators, Ward Members, Ex-officio Members like MPs, MLAs and MLCs would cast their vote in the election. The polling has already started and will end by 4 in the evening. Elaborate security arrangements have been made by the police in view of the election.
