With the building of ten sub-stations in the Nalgonda Assembly constituency, power problems would be a thing of the past in the next decade, Minister for Infrastructure Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said on Sunday. Speaking after inaugurating a 33/11 kv sub-station built at a cost of Rs.4.5 crore, Mr. Reddy expressed happiness that the work could be finished in five months and three days.

He said the demand for power was increasing because of the floating population coming to the town, as also a spurt in activities of various sectors. The Minister stated that he was trying for an additional sanction of Rs.30 crore for drinking water supply to the town.
