T-TDP Legialators to leave for New Delhi today
Telangana Telugu Desam Party legislators and MLCs are leaving for Delhi today, to meet Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram to press their demand for introduction of bill on Telangana in Parliament. S. Venugopala Chary, party MLA, told reporters that they were hopeful of meeting the President and the Prime Minister too by staying back in Delhi.
He said they would intensify their agitation demanding Telangana beginning with a bus yatra' in all the districts from April 1. Later, a delegation of the legislators that comprised besides Mr. Chary, Revuri Prakash Reddy and Tummala Nageswara Rao, met Governor, E.S.L. Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan. They said they had described the situation in Telangana and appealed to him to take a dispassionate look at the demand for separate statehood and send his report accordingly to the Centre.
