Holding himself responsible for the congress party to loose seats, in legislative council polls from local authority constituencies in East Godavari district, the ruling party member Venu Gopala Krishna had resigned to his DCC post, on Wednesday.

Addressing the News Men on the occasion, Mr.Krishna stated that, he had sent a copy of resignation letter to APCC Chief D.Srinivas. Expressing his regret at the outcome of the elections, He opined that it was unfortunate for the congress party to loose, though it was having a fine majority. However, Venu Gopala Krishna will further continue as a chairman of Zilla Parishat, in the district.
