Congress, Telugu Desam Party won three seats

The counting of the the Local Authorities' Constituencies of the State Legislative Council elections began earlier in the day on Wednesday. The results were announced in the afternoon. Congress, Telugu Desam Party and candidates owing allegiance to YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has won three seats each. Here's a report in detail.

* TDP candidate Mettu Govinda Reddy defeated his congress rival Paatil Venuogopal Reddy by 59 votes in the MLC elections of Anantapur district. Govinda Reddy thanked JC Diwakar Reddy for helping him win the election.

*Congress candidate SV Mohan Reddy won the Kurnool MLC Election with a majority of 150 votes.

* Congress candidate Viswaprasad won the MLC election in Srikakulam district by a majority of 223 votes.

* TDP candidate Angara Rammohan Rao won the other MLC seat in West Godavari, while Congress candidate Ganga Bhavani lost.

* TDP candidate Boddu Bhaskar Ramarao won with a majority of 107 votes.

* Congress candidate Vakati Narayana Reddy won the MLC seat.

* Independent candidate Narayana Reddy won the MLC seat with a majority of 10 votes.

His opponent Varadarajulu requested for a recounting. After recounting the authorities have officially announced that Narayana Reddy won with a majority of 10 votes.
