The Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen on friday said in assembly that it wanted a thorough probe into allotment of thousands of acres of Wakf land for various purposes by successive governments in the state. Raising the issue in the assembly, MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi said 1600 acres of Wakf land was given away to several software majors outside Hyderabad in the last few years.
Reiterating his demand for Joint Legislature Committee on land allotment in the name of SEZs and Industries in the State, the AIMIM floor leader, Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi, said in the Assembly that the JLC or House Committee would only serve the purpose. The house was adjourned as Owaisi was unstoppable, even as Ministers J Geeta Reddy and Shridar Babu tried giving an explaination.
