Deputy Chairman of State Legislative Council Mohammed Jani on Sunday, expressed hope that Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy would induct him in the State Cabinet, in order to enable him vigorously campaign in the forthcoming byelections to Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly constituency for boosting the prospects of the ruling party.

Mr. Jani offered prayers at the Ameen Peer Dargah in Kadapa, on his re-election as Congress MLC. Asked how he could canvass for Congress in an election in his capacity as Deputy Chairman of Legislative Council, Mr. Jani said he would quit the Deputy Chairmanship if needed.
