Agriculture Minister YS Vivekananda Reddy on Wednesday tendered his resignation after the expiry of his term as MLC. Mr Reddy, brother of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, submitted his resignation to Chief Minister N.Kiran Kumar Reddy.

The Minister was likely to be fielded from Pullivendla Assembly Constituency by the Congress high command. The bye-elections were necessitated after Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and his mother Vijayalakshmi resigned as MP and MLA from Kadapa and Pulivendula.
