Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, Telugu Desam Party president Chandrababu Naidu & other leaders greeted people of the State on the occasion of 'Khara Ugadi' being celebrated today. In his message on Sunday, the Chief Minister wished the people all happiness and prosperity.

He expressed hope that the New Year would bring in copious rainfall to help the farmers. Earlier, Mr. Narasimhan hosted high tea at Raj Bhavan on the eve of Ugadi. A violin concert by Kalamamini Kanya Kumari marked the occasion. The Governor felicitated the artistes with mementoes and shawls.
