Minister for Handlooms and Textiles, Dr. P. Shankar Rao, said he was ready to contest against late Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddys son and YSR Congress chief Mr. YS Jaganmohan Reddy, in Kadapa in the present by- election.

Talking to the media on Tuesday, he said if only the Congress High Command directed, he would contest either from Kadapa Lok Sabha seat or Pulivendula Assembly constituency.

He condemned the statement of Mr Jagan that the by- elections were between Congress president Ms. Sonia Gandhi and late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. He said the remark has only shown Jagans ignorance.
