Sai Baba in stable condition: Hospital

Spiritual leader Satya Sai Baba, who is on life support at a hospital in Puttaparthi town, is showing signs of improvement, hospital officials said on Tuesday. Sai Baba was admitted to the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences at the pilgrim town in Anantapur district with lung infection and chest congestion on March 28.
A medical bulletin released by the hospital said that 'Sai Baba's condition remains more or less the same, however, his level of consciousness has considerably improved. He continues to be on ventilator support and is receiving kidney dialysis, the update said. Thousands of anxious devotees have been pouring in from different parts of the country as news of Sai Baba's critical condition spread. It is also reported that many VVIP's are set to throng to Puttaparthi to visit him.
