The TDP has decided to field Rajya Sabha member M V Mysura Reddy as its candidate for the by-election from Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency. Mysura Reddy will face YSR Congress party chief and former MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in the by-election slated for May 8th.

TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu announced Mysura's candidature before leaving for Coimbatore to campaign for AIADMK in the Tamil Nadu elections. Naidu also announced the name of Ravindranath Reddy, for the Pulivendula Assembly seat against Jagan's mother Y S Vijayalakshmi. Also, Babu extended his party's solidarity with fasting social activist Anna Hazare in the fight against corruption.
