A reluctant Health Minister D.L. Ravindra Reddy has been finalised as the Congress party's candidate for the byelections to Kadapa Lok Sabha seat on May 8. An official announcement is likely to be made this morning even as the Health Minister's name was sent for formal approval to the central leadership in New Delhi.

Dr. Ravindra Reddy and his Cabinet colleague Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy in the Kiran Kumar Reddy Cabinet will be in the fray for the prestigious bypolls from Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly segment respectively where Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy and his mother Y.S. Vijayamma are the YSR Congress party nominees.
