Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday made it clear that the party would fight the by-elections to the Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly constituencies, on the plank of corruption in line with social activist Anna Hazare's ongoing campaign.

Addressing a press conference after a day-long meeting with MPs, MLAs and other leaders on the strategy to be adopted in the by-elections, Mr. Naidu said people and youth should see that the two constituencies become a model for the entire country in rejecting corrupt and inefficient candidates. He favoured subjecting the Prime Minister and Chief Ministers to the Lok Pal's scrutiny and saw nothing wrong in giving adequate representation to civil society groups in the proposed committee
