YSR Congress Party Chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and his mother have got a headstart in the campaign for the bypolls to Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly seats. Kickstarting his campaign, Jagan told a rally at Kadapa that the byelections were a fight between his late father Y S Rajashekhara Reddys legacy and the Congress leadership.

In Pulivendula,his mother Vijayalakshmi began a door-to-door campaign. Jagan and his mother are contesting under the banner of the recently-launched Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party, also known as the YSR Congress Party. Speaking to newspersons Mr. Reddy expressed his opinion that people will definetly vote for his party. Talking further He said as a part of campaign he will also tour Proddutur
