Telugu Desam Party holds rally, participants vow to fight corruption

TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu has demanded that the Central government take steps to prosecute those guilty of misappropriation of public money and recover the amounts from them. Mr. Naidu led a padayatra' against corruption organised to mark the success of social activist Anna Hazare's five-day fast which ended on Saturday.
Youth and intellectuals participated in the rally that started from Mahatma Gandhi's statue in Secunderabad to the Tank Bund where he administered an oath against corruption to the participants.Addressing the gathering, Mr. Naidu said the youth were becoming impatient owing to corruption.
The struggle launched by Mr. Anna Hazare was a beginning of a sustained struggle to counter it and the TDP would contribute its share in eliminating the menace that was denying the poor their due.
