The supporters of the former Kadapa MP and YSR Congress candidate, Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, are jubilant over selection of the health minister, Dr D.L. Ravindra Reddy, as the Congress nominee. They think it would be easier for their leader to defeat the minister with a massive majority.

While, the Congress and TDP are focussing on their traditional vote banks to prevent any cut in their share of votes. The CM is hopeful about Congress victory as the party has planned better election management in all the Assembly segments in the constituency. The Jagan camp is very confident of the Pulivendula Assembly segment where they expect a big majority due to YSRs clout.
