The nomination process for the by-elections to the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat and the Pulivendula Assembly constituency in the Kadapa district began on Monday with the Chief Electoral Officer releasing the poll schedule that had been announced by the Election Commission of India earlier.

The nominations would have to be submitted from April 11th to April 18th, except on April 14th and April 17th. Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal informed that 2 nominations have already been received on Monday by the returning officers. YSR Congress party leaders met the Mr. Bhanwar Lal over the by-poll issues surrounding the rival parties.
