Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy participated in the celestial wedding of Lord Sri Rama with goddess Sita Devi and offered 'Pattu Vastrams' and 'Mutyala Talambralu', on behalf of the State Government during the 'Kalyana Mahotsavam' as per the tradition.

Thousands of devotees converged on the banks of the Godavari river at Bhadradri-the abode of Lord Rama to witness the wedding on tuesday. The processional idols, placed in a decorated palanquin, were brought to the venue, amidst chanting of vedic hymns by the priests. The temple town acquired a festive look on the occasion of Sriram Navami festival.
