Kiran in Delhi to discuss by-polls

Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy left for New Delhi on Tuesday evening to hold discussions with the central leaders ahead of the crucial bye-elections to Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly seats. The ruling Congress is yet to officially announce its nominees for the two seats, though Health Minister D. L. Ravindra Reddy and Agriculture Minister Y. S. Vivekananda Reddy have already launched their election campaign.
The Chief Minister is expected to discuss the insistence of Mr. Vivekananda Reddy to accept his resignation before he files his nomination. Meanwhile, the Ministers deputed for the Congress party's election campaign are likely to go to Kadapa after April 17, where the poll strategy is likely to be fine-tuned.
